How can we be certain of this? It’s simple – our tutors have over fifteen years industry and teaching experience. Working for many years in Further Education, teaching and assessing NVQs in all aspects of beauty and holistic therapies.
Who we are
This wealth of experience has given us a clear understanding of our students needs and the ability to adapt our teaching styles to suit. You will be given continued support and guidance during and after your training. Something our students find invaluable once qualified. We offer comprehensive Diploma, Postgraduate and refresher courses. Whichever course you choose there will be no more than six students present.Giving you plenty of time with your tutor.
Students work on each other, an important part of learning a new treatment is not just about practising it but experiencing it from a client’s point of view.
Case studies make up an important part of your learning . From our years of experience students that complete case studies and reflect on these studies become more confident therapists and embrace working with clients once qualified. Remember we offer support and guidance while completing your case studies.
Our workshops have grown from our teaching. So many students and clients asked us for guidance with personal development. We felt there was a real need for non religious , non judgemental personal development courses. So with skills in counselling and meditation we put together our workshops. A day totally devoted to ME time. Escape the hustle and bustle and spend the day with like minded people looking to bring some harmony and balance back into their lives.
Our Tutors
Mandy Zeqiri
Mandy Zeqiri as worked in the Beauty/Complementary Therapies Industry for over 25 years. She qualified as a beauty therapist in 1987 after gaining City and Guilds and CIBTAC qualifications at Bexley College, Kent. Over the next 10 years Mandy worked in various salons and clinics in London, gaining a wealth of industry knowledge and experience. By 1995 she naturally progressed into complementary therapies. She studied Aromatherapy and realised that a holistic approach to treatments was definitely the way forward.
In 1997 she decided that she wanted to take this knowledge and share it with others, so decided to embark on a career in teaching and in 1998 gained her Further and Adult Education Teachers Certificate.
She had found her vocation in teaching and has taught and assessed NVQs in Level 2&3 Beauty Therapy and Aromatherapy ever since.
Elemi training grew from the demand from students wanting quality training/CPD courses in Complementary Therapies.
Mandy’s love for learning means she has added qualifications in hot/cold stone therapy, MLD massage, natural face lift massage and pregnancy massage to her CV. She is a qualified meditation teacher and has a successful therapy business.
Mandy is a member of the FHT.
Our Tutors
Karen Deane
Karen Deane is a very experienced and highly qualified Beauty and Holistic Therapist. After qualifying from Bexley College in 1987 she went on to work in London salons gaining a lot of experience along the way.
Karen has a passion for learning and is continually adding new qualifications to her CV. Along with her many Beauty and Holistic qualifications Karen is also a trained counsellor, Supervisor and advanced teacher running workshops for the Louise Hay Principals.
Karen has worked as a teacher since 1995. She qualified with the Certificate in Education from the University of Greenwich and has taught at many colleges of further education.
Karen is an advanced practitioner and specialist teacher of Reflexology, Holistic therapies and counselling skills. She has been running various workshops for personal growth and development for several years and is a great advocate of positive thinking and self awareness.
As well as her teaching she has a private practice and works with people on a 1-1 and group basis.
She is a member of BACP, IFL and AUCC.
